Witjassies Natuurwetenskap Program
Ballet
Welcome to Ascend Dance Academy! I am a registered teacher at the Dance Academy of South Africa and the Association of the International Dance Teachers. I have also completed examinations of the Royal Academy of Dance and National Society of Dance Teachers Southern Africa. I started dancing from a young age and would love to instill this same love and passion for the beautiful art of dance in your child. I am dedicated to delivering training that focuses on the art and technicalities of dance – in a professional manner, adhering to the highest standards and in an encouraging, positive atmosphere. I wholeheartedly dedicate myself to the improvement of every one of my dancers.
I am also a qualified (SACE-registered) French teacher and offer French lessons, which is so intricately linked to the art of Classical Ballet. I am
excited to get to know your child and to help him/her prosper.

RUGGA ROOTS
We grow a love for rugby
RUGGA ROOTS is an exciting extra mural RUGBY program, focused on growing love for RUGBY, sports and participation. Boys and girls between 3 & 13 years old are welcome to join our fun-filled and structured program. Our motto “Grassroots to Greatness” will not only apply to the sports field but also in many aspects of life, as our program will address various situations and stimulate physical growth and development.
Rugby is the face of our program, but also includes the following:
Ball Skills
Such as but are not limited to, throwing and catching, dribbling, kicking and aiming for a target.
Hand eye coordination
The ability of the vision system to coordinate the information received through the eyes to control, guide, and direct the hands in the right direction.
Fine and gross motor skills
Small movements, such as picking up small objects/bigger movements, such as rolling over and sitting.
Physical development
Involves developing control over the body, particularly muscles and physical coordination.
Safety
One of our most important focus points are learning the correct techniques when playing rugby to keep the game safe
Positive self esteem
We aim to promote any child’s overall sense of self-worth and personal value through sportsmanship
Discipline
We believe children enjoy healthy discipline through listening and cooperations
Enjoyment
The only way to teach effective skills is to make sure the kids enjoy the program and have lots of fun while learning!
